At the start of the new generation of consoles the PS4 shot of to an incredible start and has now passed the point of over 10 million sales worldwide, unlike the Xbox one which has only racked up a sum of around 5 million. Microsoft who produce the Xbox console have made some refinements.
Firstly they have taken out kinect which was what made people dislike it in the first place, and the have dropped the price of their console to £329.99, matching the price of Sony's PlayStation 4.
The £30 price drop is exclusive to the UK, and Microsoft say it's intended to entice Xbox 360 owners to upgrade in time for the upcoming batch of exclusive next-generation titles.
The new lower-priced console is not bundled with any games, and comes without the Kinect motion sensor attachment.
But the forthcoming Sunset Overdrive bundle, with a white Xbox One, will get the price cut too.
A string of Xbox One exclusives are on the way between now and Christmas, including Sunset Overdrive, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Forza Horizon 2.
One thing that has surely boosted up sales the past month for both consoles is Destiny. Destiny is a first person shooter with occasional third person capabilities role playing game, which is set in outer space, where you fight a range of new races and travel the galaxy.
One of Destiny's creators Bungie previously made the Halo Trilogy before it was taken over by 343 Industries.Halo was a similar game to Destiny but was exclusive to Xbox unlike Destiny due to Bungie teaming up with Activision to create this Uni-Platformed game. because of this the game has boosted sales of the PS4.
For the time being it is safe to assume that the sales of the PS4 make it seem like that its the better option, but the Xbox has a long standing record of security and happiness with its fans, which will make the console battle level out as the years go on, or until a new rival console comes out to better them both, who knows, but the decision is yours.
